Tameka *Meka* Hardison
Louisiana has produced some of the finest entertainers in the music industry. It is famous for its rich culture of foods, tourist attractions and its music ranging from Zydeco to Blues to R&B to Jazz. Tameka L. Hardison “adds the Thump to SVK SOS Music”. This high energy female vocalist is a product of Louisiana’s rich heritage and is a native of its oldest settlement, the city of Natchitoches. Meka achieved her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Grambling State University, (Grambling, Louisiana) and completed her Masters in Public Administration from Southern University, (Baton Rouge, Louisiana). Her Music ventures spread horizontally. She played the clarinet’s, (B flat and Bass), in her “High School District Band” and the “All State Bands”. While attending Grambling, she was a member of the World Renowned “Tiger Marching Band”. Some of her musical highlights included vocal performances with the “Tiger” band at the annual Bayou Classic in New Orleans, LA. Also she was featured with the Southern University Jazz Ensemble and performed with several R&B bands in Louisiana and Texas, as Lead Female Vocalist. Meka is now a featured Solo Artist with SVK and other renowned bands in the Southern United States. Her touring schedule has expanded to cover other parts of the U.S. Chances are she will be appearing in an area near you.
